The problem that was originally identified and which Mister Josh's Neighborhood intends to address is that access to the private music lesson environment can be challenging for a list of reasons including geographical access to a quality teacher, financial limitations for underserved communities, and time limitations for interested adults due to the personal responsibilities involved in the adult schedule with job conflicts, family responsibilities and more.
Mister Josh's Neighborhood intends to create solutions for all of these needs by generating an online, asynchronous music education and violin learning model that mimics and enhances the Private Lesson environment in several different ways:
Developing Quality Asynchronous Digital Music Education Content
Using the ADDIE, SAM, and Dick and Carey Models of Pedagogical Development, Mister Josh's Neighborhood has developed a model for generating overarching chapter or semester goals that will be developed through SAM based modules of video content generation.
ADDIE goals are chapter based which provide the opportunity for students to learn new pieces or songs in their entirety. SAM modules are the step-by-step framework that provide bite-sized meaning to the ADDIE goal.
The Dick and Carey Model for this asynchronous model instates the necessary feedback component which is missing from online learning.

Our intended audiences are students who are taking group lessons in school orchestra settings who are not gaining access to private lessons, but that would like some specialized individual opportunities of learning and meaning making.
We also intend to cater to adults who are not often granted entry into teacher studios due to their inability to commit to lesson times, daily regular practice, and financial commitments.
We also intend to generate deeper meaning making opportunities for students who are taking private lesson and who are always exploring new ways to achieve their goals.
Our educational development models are based on creating deeper content rich and level based creation for beginner, intermediate and advanced players.
Material is presented through special infographics that provide meaning, educational content that is presented in an edutainment sketch show format that is intended to keep viewers and users coming back due to the entertaining atmosphere, and the depth of perspectives they will gain through walking through each module with Mister Josh, his list of wacky characters and with other users that can be viewed in their progress through the online community as well!
